Ayie
It all started as a passion for crafts and some side business and a lot of planning but our original idea didn't work out for us. At first we thought of making some custom bags and that was during those busy school days. The craft alone will take time to finish so everything was put on hold.

chocolate rice crispies, chocolate marble & double decker...

Me and my bestfriend see to it we meet every now and then no matter how long or short our meeting would be. It was nearing the Christmas holidays when we came up with a small chocolate business. It was more for fun and not a serious business since we're both tied up working in different offices. That time was perfect for small sweet giveaway gifts, we marketed our products to her office and mom's.

...simple choco cups with fun designs...

It was a success! We're not talking here of thousands worth of investment return, but at least our accumulated profit was good enough. Given the short span of time (dec-feb) we were able to do more than just chocolates. We tried making banana choco chip loaves and re-packed some chocolates for smaller giveaways. To double our capital was a success for us already considering we were just doing it as a means of our bonding time (yes our chocs were reasonably priced). Working overnight was our only way to do it, no sleep... but we're happy! =) Sounds crazy huh?

Bes (bestfriend) and I enjoyed our little crazy time schedule working. It was more of a challenge for us on how we could make it through together. Making most of our time together, creating cherished moments would be the best way to describe those times. We both knew I'll have to leave for US soon, that's why.

I'd like to thank Ai for wanting to see our chocolates, it all began when I saw her cute soap designs. After long time searching for the photos, finally I was able to work on this post.

p.s. the images are of poor quality, taken from my oldie cp cam =)

    Ayie,
They are adorable, pretty, I like them all! It is nice to do things you like with a friend. You guys can laugh etc if things go wrong. As for me I usually laugh at myself since I'm always doing something on my own. :o)

Are you still making those chocs? Were those made in the phillippines?

  9. LimPek Says:

  12. Good morning Ayie and happy weekend!

  13. Ayie Says:

Willie, are you a chocoholic? We also enjoyed the packaging, we were able to be so creative with things.

  14. Ayie Says:

    Lina, thank you dear. =)

It's a team effort, me and bes really enjoyed it so I guess that gave us a good output.

  15. Ayie Says:

    Eh, it's chocolates Tekkaus. =)

My besfriend's a sweet tooth and I'm the creative designer so we thought chocs will be the best for us to work on together. We didn't sleep coz we only have Saturday to work or sunday. We both have regular office on weekdays, that's why. It's all fun, we had a great bonding time then.

I'll keep hoping for that factory tekkaus! Thanks

  16. Ayie Says:

Ladyviral, so much of your kind words...thanks. I'll give equal credits to my bes. Only if I can still make those chocs for sale, I guess you'll keep me in business. haha =)

  17. Ayie Says:

Mummu sexy you're a chocoholic? Oh yeah, I remember one of your post about chocs. Then you could be a perfect partner for product tasting! ;P

  18. Ayie Says:

Hi Leia and Luna, you love chocolates too? I guess everybody loves chocs. Thanks for your kind appreciation. =)

  19. Ayie Says:

Ai,thanks for patiently waiting for the chocolates =)

It's very nice to work with your pal, just like you said...it's fun. We're not fond of girly chit chats so we prefer doing something creative or cooking =) Maybe hubs can join you doing those soaps, both of you can have fun.

I don't make those chocs anymore, I don't know supply stores here for the packaging and materials here are a bit pricey. We made those chocs there in the Philippines. If I see an opportunity here maybe I'll reconsider making chocs again.

  20. Ayie Says:

Limpek, so you like the muffin more than the chocs?

  21. Ayie Says:

Oh Betchai, no more. Only there in our homeland. =) But hopefullly when we get the chance to meet in the future, I can make chocs for you =) Thanks

  22. Ayie Says:

    Good evening to you Ramblings!

We really worked on the packaging because it was intended as giveaways and gifts. Glad you like it too. At least now I know everybody loves chocolates =)

Thanks for the morning greeting here, have a good weekend!

  23. Carver Says:

They look delicious and so attractively packaged too.

  24. Bengbeng Says:

Ayie, i am more n more impressed with u as I get to know more abt you. A true entrepreneur

  25. ladyviral Says:

I am sure I will, Ayie.. but wonder if the customs will eat them first before sending it over to me :/.

  26. levian Says:

wow, you girls make n sell them?
i am so lured to take a bite.
do you do international business? ;)

  27. Ayie Says:

Hi Carver, thank you for the kind compliments. I enjoyed the packaging part very much.

  28. Ayie Says:

Bengbeng, oh no...I'm not into any serious business yet. Hopefully in the future. Thank you.

  29. Ayie Says:

Ladyviral, you have a point there. Some customs people are way....different...hehe better be careful with words. =)

  30. Ayie Says:

Levian, yes me and my bestfriend made all those chocs. Sad to say no international business. Supplies and materials here are expensive =). In any case there is or there will be, it is very much likely to be announced here too =P. Thanks dearie.

  31. levian Says:

    aw, its cool.
i will, as always, keep a close look out for any updates from you. ;)
i was trying to imagine tasting what you had made
when i was looking through those alluring photographs. :p

  32. Ayie Says:

You always flatter me Levian whenever you give me a vivid imaginary tasting of my foods =)

I think you'll like the choco marble and double decker. The double decker has white bottom and dark choco on top layer with some candy sprinkles. The marble is of premiun choco and marbled with white choco. Do you fancy cookies and cream or rice crispies?

  33. levian Says:

    oh absolutely!
    not all the time,
but i do crave for dark chocolate or cookies every now n then,
most preferably heavy chocolaty taste in the cookies.
    yum yum! :p

  34. Ayie Says:

Levian, that sounds yummy... it makes me imgaine what you're saying even if I'm not much a sweet tooth

  35. levian Says:

which flavor is most preferable for you? :)

  36. Ayie Says:

I think i'll go for the marble and double decker. It contrasts between dark and white so it's a little like bittersweet. =)

  37. hi ayie! i was overwhelmed by your many doors. now i understand what monetizing really means just by the time you invested in putting up your blogs. thanks for the ideas.

  38. Ayie Says:

Hi Anonymously yours love, welcome to my blog! Nice to have you here for a visit.

My blogs happened to multiply coz we decided to put everything in category. It was more of just a hobby and now social interaction. The monetizing only came later and I'm not the one handling those. I only work on my posts, nothing on technical matters. I do have one income blog and that's where I do sides. Maybe you can visit that one if you want to have better ideas. Thanks
