Happy Valentine's Day To All!!!
Ayie

Christmas is just around the corner.  It seems like time is passing by so fast that in two weeks time it will be Christmas already.  Yearly we try to have baby's photo with Santa taken, unfortunately last year he wasn't so cooperative that it didn't turn out good.

Yearly there's a "Storytime With Santa" event at the community center.  I didn't make it to the registration last year as I thought there will be slots left if I register by November.  I was wrong, so wrong!  When I called in to register, the lady told me it gets filled up right on the first day of registration so better do it really early next time.  That's what I did, I waited for the registration time to open and I did.

There's a fee of $18 for residents in our area and a bit more for non-residents.  I think it's worth it because they even have a spread of cookie assortment, hot cocoa, coffee or tea, craft tables for kids, storytime with Santa himself and the highlight... each kid has the chance to sit on Santa's lap for a little talk and photo opt.  I love this event as we managed to have a family picture all together with Santa!  They said we'll be given a copy/copies of the photos.

Seeing this photo makes me realize how much baby has grown over the years.  I'd love to go back to the past and cradle him once again like a tiny new infant.   Soon he'll be 3yrs old, surely time has flown so fast.

When you have a baby, your normal outings will be for baby's fun and enjoyment.  Can you see J carrying that humongous bone to give to Clifford?  We went to enjoy the Clifford exhibit in Children's Discovery Museum with baby's buddy A.  It was a fun trip for the boys because instead of taking separate cars going to the museum, we opted to take the train.  That was baby's second train ride but generally speaking, his first long train ride.  We spent almost whole day there so it was pretty much tiring.

There was a Curious George meet and greet event in Santana Row one time so we went there to see and have some photos.  Baby J loves George and he was so delighted to see him.  The line was too long for us to wait, he was happy already looking from a distance.  If we were to wait that will be more of trouble, having an impatient toddler under the scorching sun is never a good idea.  He was able to see George up close but no photo opportunity, had to find a nice spot from afar to have both baby and George on screenshot.

It's been another busy week for us and tomorrow it's Monday again. The weekend was great even if we had to do errands, soon after hubs decided to go to a pumpkin patch just to enjoy the rest of the day. I don't have the photos ready yet since I've been busy the whole day cleaning here at home and also taking care of my boys. Work never ends that's why it was really nice that our family had the chance to do a little side trip yesterday. I will just post about our pumpkin patch adventure next time.

I am actually done already for the day, I am tired and just relaxing a bit before going to bed. This is my only time to turn on the laptop and browse a bit. A specific news about the drug cartel caught my attention because the way those smugglers do their business was very crafty. They made tunnels from the border of Mexico to the parking spaces in Arizona. Those guys are really pushing the limits just to get their merchandise cross the border. The drug bust resulted to a discovery of 16 tunnels leading to 18 of the parking spaces.  Imagine how those smugglers get to sneak their contraband for a price of few quarters.

It's good that this activity was caught because lives can be saved most especially those teens who are in the experimental stage trying out things like drugs and other stuffs.  Though there are certain centers and rehabilitation for those who want to steer away from their addiction, sadly not everybody would want to take this path.  There are cases in which a person is too consumed with his or her addiction resulting to grave health dangers already.

It makes me feel so furious to those people who just care to have money, lots and lots of money without caring and thinking the bad results of their actions.  Thankfully the government is trying their best to eradicate such activity and is continuously making campaigns through advertisements & commercials to keep people informed.  Local site like www.nida.nih.gov/ reaches out to people who are in need of help, making it possible for them to step out of their vice and be clean.

Throwing junks here is quite a problem for us because you cannot throw everything in the dump. Our apartment management doesn't have scheduled junk hauling therefore whatever was thrown by people here remains there in the trash area all piled up. Not to worry much about our regular trashes and recyclables because it's routinely collected, that's more important so we don't keep rubbish here in the complex.

Taking advantage of the Neighborhood Appreciation Day event courtesy of Bethel Church this coming August 13 @ 10:00am-12:00nn is a great way to get rid of the junks that we can't throw in the dump. Yearly the Bethel Church offer such service to gather junks for dumping, for free. One of their good Samaritan deeds for the community!

We will definitely take our electronic junks there so it can be thrown properly and not just being stacked here in the complex. Getting your junks here will cost you money that's why I am sharing this to all my readers within our area to take advantage of this free service. It's not all about junk for this event, there are free hotdogs and car wash too. Don't forget to bring the postcard from Bethel Church in order to be eligible for this free service.

Here are the List of items they will NOT accept: large appliances, tires, water heaters, concrete, furniture, hazardous waste (paint, oil, etc.), fluorescent light bulbs and mattresses

Speaking of junks, Bethel Church clearly specified the items they will accept for dumping so don't even try bringing in those. Most items like appliances are usually donated to thrift stores, a good way of getting rid of your appliances and a means of helping out some people who can't afford to buy those. If the items are good enough to still be used then it's worth giving away but if it's not better have it collected by an appliance removal company.

For those who are in need of full-service junk removal company simply call 1-800-GOT-JUNK. They offer junk removal for a fair price may it be an old furniture, appliances, electronics, tires and other wastes that you want to get rid of. Their company ensures that your junks get recycled, donated or disposed properly. There are special days when they service specific areas or sites in which you can take advantage of some discount so better keep an eye on that too. The best thing for Got Junk is that there's no sorting needed, they will take all that can fit in their truck without you having to do the job. A great way to remove a mess without getting yourself messy. To know more about their services you may check Appliance Removal Chicago.
