This photo was taken last year, the second time J got to play with snow.  We didn't have much rains last year so we were lucky to find some snow pockets by the mountain sides.  Small shaded areas were slightly covered with snow, good enough for a little fun play time.  Perhaps this year will be a lot more different.  It's been raining so probably more snow in the mountains.  I sure hope so because J would definitely be playing there for hours this time around, hes even anticipating sledding.

Our snow trip only happens once a year a little after Christmas.  That's the only time I get to bundle up our little boy and let him enjoy wearing his snow boots.  Occasionally when it rains here around the city we would walk around jumping on puddles with his snow boots or rains boots but of course nothing beats the fun he gets to have playing in the snow.

Wearing the proper shoes is very important as it can be freezing or soggy wet after a while.  It's also quite hard to walk o thick snow and most especially slippery melting ice.  Definitely you would have to get comfortable boots for women if you were to run and chase after a happy little boy.  To climb those hills and sled, leave marks on snow, or simply to keep your feet warm enough for hours of fun.

Christmas is just around the corner.  It seems like time is passing by so fast that in two weeks time it will be Christmas already.  Yearly we try to have baby's photo with Santa taken, unfortunately last year he wasn't so cooperative that it didn't turn out good.

Yearly there's a "Storytime With Santa" event at the community center.  I didn't make it to the registration last year as I thought there will be slots left if I register by November.  I was wrong, so wrong!  When I called in to register, the lady told me it gets filled up right on the first day of registration so better do it really early next time.  That's what I did, I waited for the registration time to open and I did.

There's a fee of $18 for residents in our area and a bit more for non-residents.  I think it's worth it because they even have a spread of cookie assortment, hot cocoa, coffee or tea, craft tables for kids, storytime with Santa himself and the highlight... each kid has the chance to sit on Santa's lap for a little talk and photo opt.  I love this event as we managed to have a family picture all together with Santa!  They said we'll be given a copy/copies of the photos.

Seeing this photo makes me realize how much baby has grown over the years.  I'd love to go back to the past and cradle him once again like a tiny new infant.   Soon he'll be 3yrs old, surely time has flown so fast.

If you ever find yourself running a hotel business (I keep dreaming), then you might enjoy having access to an online store purely dedicated to carrying hotel supplies and equipment. PeachSuite Hotel Supply offers supplies for banquet rooms, bars, concessions, dining room, kitchen, equipment and so much more. You'll be amazed by how specialized Hotel Supplies can be. Everything from towels to food baskets to bar stools, whatever items you need, these things were made for hotels.

Hotels that run kitchens may also find a large selection of kitchen equipment such as slicers, food processors, meat grinders, baker tables, bread slicers... the range of categories is amazing. I'm sure customers will find something they haven't thought about until they've seen it. Aside from also being a Hotel Amenities Supplier, they also offer design and installation services which are great for on-site handling where customers can work with in-house designers. It feels like a one-stop shop for hotel business owners!

The moon was really amazingly beautiful, glowing brightly against the dark gray sky.  I had a very basic point and shoot at that moment so I took the best shot that I could.

I was browsing through the photos then I saw this one.  Baby happened to see his inflatable ring and wanted to play with it again so I gave him the freedom to enjoy it in the tub.  Yes, it is just the bath tub!

I was captivated when I looked up the sky and saw the white clouds stretched all over as if the sky was painted.  It's like looking at an abstract painting, only way up there and not on a canvass.

Falling Water is among the great architecture of all time by the master Frank Lloyd Wright.  This will be one of our travel stop once we start going and exploring more places.  Imagine a house built on natural scape with water running and all the trees surrounding it.

I once painted that same photo above during my college years and gave it as a gift to someone dear to me.  I wonder if they kept it hanging on their wall because if not, I wouldn't mind having it back.  hahaha

Me and hubs had the pleasure of replicating the model of this house, using Lego.  It's not ours but his officemate's.  It was given by their boss as a birthday present since the guy is a big fan of this architecture.  Being a fan doesn't mean you'd be willing to submit yourself doing lego building so the job of "constructing" it went to hubs.  Actually, I was the builder and he was the material sorter and supplier, as well as control supervisor.  We carefully followed every step and he would check every procedures done.  Finally after few hours of building, we accomplished the task.  We have built our very first Fallingwater.  Hubs plan to make a time lapse video as we documented every step from scratch.  I will definitely post it once it's done.

This street food can be seen almost all over Philippines.  Who wouldn't love the crispy fried battered egg?  Hubs love this and he's been missing to eat some so I decided to make him a good stick of kwek-kwek one time.  Quail eggs here can be bought 10pcs or a dozen a $1.  For tiny little eggs, I find that quite pricey.  I happened to see some in the farmer's market so I made sure I grabbed some for our afternoon merienda.  I didn't have any food coloring so I improvised.  Instead of buying food color I used powdered cheddar cheese to color the flour, that way it also added much flavor to the batter.  I think I made 2 sticks, one for me and one for hubs of course.  Baby was napping so we enjoyed everything, he was too young to have eggs that time too.  For the sauce, I kind of cheated.  I had leftover katsu sauce so not to waste, used it.

Kwek-kwek is for quail eggs and for chicken eggs, it's called tokneneng.  Why?  I honestly don't know how it came to be.  Perhaps I should research about it.  Here's a sample recipe in case you want to try making your very own.  Any kind of sauce can be used, preferably sour or sweet and sour.  Some use vinegar with chopped onions and garlic, sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce with lemon juice.  Be creative and use whichever suits your taste.

Ingredients (good for 4)

  • 1 dozen eggs, choose quail or chicken
  • cornflour for coating
  • bamboo skewer
  • oil for deep frying
  • Batter:
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • red and yellow food colouring
  •  Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 4 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 15 mins

Happy Hollow is a children's fun park and we love this place.  We've been there several times and one of which, baby meets Danny the Dragon.  He was so excited and happy but only from a distance.  He didn't want the dragon to hold him even for a quick photo.  Baby tried to get near several times but will break a scream or two with much giggling when the dragon gets near him.

When you have a baby, your normal outings will be for baby's fun and enjoyment.  Can you see J carrying that humongous bone to give to Clifford?  We went to enjoy the Clifford exhibit in Children's Discovery Museum with baby's buddy A.  It was a fun trip for the boys because instead of taking separate cars going to the museum, we opted to take the train.  That was baby's second train ride but generally speaking, his first long train ride.  We spent almost whole day there so it was pretty much tiring.

Moving to London can be quite an adventure and doing things right can mean all the difference between a good and bad move. There are many little things to make your move work out better, such as knowing the difference between England and the U.K. You do not want to offend people when you're there. Or more importantly, making sure you have all the proper paper work in place such us the proper visas, and if you have pets, make sure they complete the necessary quarantine requirements ahead of time. And the most critical, making sure you have a place to stay!

Getting a place, whether renting or buying a home or staying a hotel is crucial to your move. Fortunately there are sites like apartment-hotels.com to help guide you in your search for London Apartments. Get personal assistance that allows you to choose from potential London Apartments that will fit your needs. You may be planning a short stay or long stay and sometimes there may be different offers tailored to your plans. These are things to be considered in you search. Some other tips include asking the landlords the right questions like which utility bills are included? And if the gas appliances have an approved British Gas seal on them. You also need to look out for the health of yourself and your family so these questions should be asked. Good luck!

There was a Curious George meet and greet event in Santana Row one time so we went there to see and have some photos.  Baby J loves George and he was so delighted to see him.  The line was too long for us to wait, he was happy already looking from a distance.  If we were to wait that will be more of trouble, having an impatient toddler under the scorching sun is never a good idea.  He was able to see George up close but no photo opportunity, had to find a nice spot from afar to have both baby and George on screenshot.

Baby J loves to imitate and re-enact this scene from Totoro.  So funny when he copies Mei losing balance and almost falling down.  He would say "wo-wo-woooh" as he balances on one foot waving his hands up on the air.

Little did I know how many oceanfront properties existed from Miami beach to Palm Beach until I checked out Seaside Properties Group's website. Take Fisher Island for example, an island that is 3 miles off shore of the mainland South Florida, was created in 1905 by a dredging project that happened all over Miami Beach. It was owned by millionaires  over the last century and for the most part remained somewhat private and exclusive.

Today Fisher Island is inaccessible to the public according to Wikipedia, however there are celebrities that have homes on the island such as Oprah Winfrey and Mel Brooks. There are Luxury oceanfront condos on Fisher Island but I would imagine it would cost a small fortune to acquire such a property. Another interesting thing about Fisher Island is that there are no roads or causeway that connects to the island, it is only accessed by private boat or ferry.

Luxury oceanfront condos at One Bal Harbour are more accessible since they are on the mainland. The population in the area is definitely larger compared to Fisher Island and the is more open to the public. In general, I'd say luxury oceanfront condos at Bal Harbour is most likely to be more affordable. If you were given the opportunity, which place would you choose?

Just when you think you've seen it all, something else comes along. A great addition to any kitchen is the cleverly designed Kitchen Magic Twisty Whisk! It is no doubt the most colorful and fun-looking whisk I have ever seen. The handle is made of wood and the wires are covered in silicone with a total length of 12 inches. The whisk wires themselves are a combination of color orange and green, it actually looks good.

There are many different styles when it comes to manual whisks, there's the balloon whisk, the flat whisk, the gravy whisk, the ball whisk, the cage whisk and then the twirl whisk. The Kitchen Magic Twisty Whisk is sort of a hybrid, which combines the design of the balloon whisk and the twirl whisk all into one unique whisk. Happy whisking!

Employment is a staple in many lives. Employment offers stability, growth, and opportunities that no other social dynamic can. Like anything, however, issues will arise in any workplace. From the most minor issues to the more serious ones, these issues do occur and when they do, sometimes things get messy. Wrongful dismissals, constructive dismissals an employer obligations under provincial and federal statues are all employment issues that may require employment lawyers to participate in order to resolve the issues at hand.

It really doesn't matter if you are the employee or employer, either side could use such services when it is necessary. Both employee and employer could both have employment lawyers at the same time for the same issues in order to work out a solution. Other common circumstances that call for such services are contract negotiations, grievance arbitration's, interpretation of collective agreements, employer policies and handbooks, discrimination and human rights. The list goes on and on thus proving the usefulness of employment lawyers.

For businesses, big or small, marketing can be quite a challenging task. Even more so if said businesses don't have the expertise in place to achieve successful marketing. Marketing in general is a task that does not happen automatically, it is something that's needs constant gradual activity for things to get rolling which will result in long term and continuous results. A company such as RevLocal can fulfill those needs with tailored strategies designed to satisfy the type of marketing approach any business would like to take.

RevLocal emphasizes on 3 strategies that make things simple yet effective to their customers. The first strategy is called Local Search which has the best return on your investment and is literally the best strategy to use to generate more local business. There is something to say about having business occur nearby. The second strategy is called Paid Search which is more aggressive and can have quick results. The third strategy is called Organic Search which is focused on long term results and really a great option for business that have been established for a long time.

I myself prefer local marketing especially if your business is more physical (brick and mortar) as supposed to something that only exist online. RevLocal is definitely the place to go to work on local search engine optimization. Local search engine marketing is a tactic that will not only generate more local business but also have a greater chance of marketing itself by word of mouth, locally of course. If your business is important to you, and if you have the resources to invest in a good marketing solution, by all means do it, do it for your business. A good marketing strategy for a business that's important to you is like having a good computer if you make a living on your computer.

There are so many Search Engine Optimization  (seo) friendly Content Management Systems (cms) available out there. Why so many you ask? I think the real question should be, why not? With businesses sprawling outside the boundaries of tradition brick and mortar stores via the internet, an online presence is almost a standard for many businesses. And even if people do have a physical location for their businesses, they actually find it very beneficial to have an online presence. If anything, having a website or even a Facebook profile for your business will most likely boost you to new levels. Getting out there and putting your feet in the water is the first step. Getting out there, opening that blog, registering that domain name, setting up that twitter account, whatever you decide to do, just do it. There is nothing to lose.

Just doing it is the hardest part, but once its there, that's where the real fun begins, you begin to find yourself actively socializing online, networking, and writing, in other words promoting, these are the first signs of marketing for your business believe it or not. But like many things, its not for everybody, that is why there are services all over the internet that offer seo for franchises, private label cms, website marketing software offering search engine optimization solutions and content management services that are tailored to work specifically for your business goals. There is so much seo software available that if you truly want to partake in an active role marketing and promoting your business online, there is no excuse not to. We live in a fun time where thriving online is no longer a task, it is an opportunity.

In an economy that is jumping up and down where everyone is trying to keep their heads above water by keeping their jobs or trying to look for jobs in order to survive, it can be quite challenging. Challenging and full of "surprises". And some surprises aren't good surprises. When times become challenging, people do things they would normally not do, and unfortunately one of those things is committing crime. There will be an escalation in drinking which increases the chances of driving under the influence. There will also be an escalation in people carrying weapons with the intentions of committing armed robbery, and with that, there will be folks who want to be ready to defend themselves, so people with businesses in bad neighborhoods will also want to carry arms. This is they way things are. It is sad, but very true.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you were taken into prison for drunk driving? Or maybe you had to carry a weapon to protect yourself from criminals during these hard times? And maybe, just maybe, you were caught in something that wrongfully turned you into a suspect rather than a victim? Things like this happen all the times and it is very important that you have something in place that protects you from these issues, especially if your chances of getting into these issues in the first place are great. There are DUI lawyers in Philadelphia that are dedicated to serve you and help you resolve your issues. So if you live in Philadelphia and find yourself in  a bind, search google for - criminal defense lawyers Philadelphia, and I'm sure you will find a lot of options. If you are having issues regarding weapons possession then search for - weapons possession attorneys Philadelphia, you never know, someday you just might need such a service.

Prevention however, in my opinion, is your best bet.

Education is essential to everyone and finding it can sometimes be a problem financially and availability wise. The great thing is that we can now avail the education we seek online at an affordable price. Education in Tax is a perfect example of this. Imagine being an enrolled agent, a person who represents tax payers before the Internal Revenue Service, one would be required to complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every 3 years! This can be costly and a hassle to many who aren't at the right place at the right time.

Luckily at Fast Forward Academy, one may take an ea ethics course or check for ea cpe requirements online among many other things. They make it easier to complete the requirements you need to continue serving the taxpayers. This is just one example and there are so many options available for getting your education online. 5 years ago I may have waved off the idea of taking such courses, but now many of these courses are accredited and registered through necessary channels that make it legitimate and ultimately a real option for those needing to get their education.

I know I haven't shared any of our little boy's video since his first words.... he's truly grown now and this is just among the things he does at the park. As long as he sees grassy hills, expect him to run up there and roll going down. He was still figuring out how to roll SAFELY that's why he was zigzag-ing all the way. Was still scared to roll sideways all the way down. He's very experimental so I just always keep close look when he does such things.

When I was a kid I used to climb trees...higher than this but of course as a mommy I will be scared to see him climb on such tree at this age.  He's no longer the cuddly tiny baby, practically half my height already and growing.  He talks a lot too.  It's a shame that up to now I haven't uploaded any post with baby talking and moving around.  Anyway, this shot was taken at Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose.  We love this place and will certainly keep coming back whenever possible.  I'm trying to inch my way back to blogging so this will do for now, just a little update to share to all of our friends and readers.

It's true that kids can be quite messy but I love it!  I kick some slack when our little boy wants to be an artist on certain days.  He might not be so good yet in coloring or painting but at 2yrs 2mos he already has a sense of boundary.  He can color within the borders of any image and not just scribbles all over the paper.  Sure this boy keeps me so busy but I'm loving every second of it even during his meltdowns.

This is one of our favorite Filipino noodle dish.  You may use different kinds of rice noodles for this, thick or thin whichever you prefer.  It is best served fresh and warm and not with the sauce and toppings mixed all together.  I miss how my grandma prepares this, she will have everything on the table, all separate for you to create your own.  There will be rice noodles, shrimp sauce, tinapa flakes (smoked fish flakes), ground chicharon (pork crackling), roated garlic, roasted pork meat, shrimps, fried tofu, calamari, eggs, green onions and calamansi or lemon slices.  Such a comfort food even our little boy loves to eat.  I tried making my own version here with whatever ingredients available.  Of course it's not as authentic but good enough to satisfy our craving.  Next time I prepare this I will document the ingredients so I can share it to all of you.

Practicality must be practiced nowadays.  Since money doesn't grow on trees and we have to work to earn it, spending wisely can help stretch out those dollars.  Say for instance getting brand new things over used stuffs, there are some things we can compromise not being new.

Thrift store is a practical choice here when it comes to used furnitures and some clothing.  You can find great deals and total bargains but you'll have to spend good time really looking and searching.  There are some brand new items too, not everything's pre-owned.  There are also wholesale places and flea markets which sell very affordable goods.

There are also special supply places which sell brand new and used commercial items like hotel supplies & catering supplies.  All those high end hotel supply can be bought in PeachSuite Wholesale Hotel & Restaurant Supplier  sites.  There are also other branch stores which carry the same items but it's not as many as regular thrift stores catering furniture and clothing.  Using something pre-owned or used isn't bad as long as you know how to choose good and clean good whatever you buy.

I have decided to review playgrounds and parks that me and baby go to.  It just surprised me when some of our friends didn't know about the nearby really good playgrounds and they kept going the same one over and over again.  Some of them goes to farther ones which is quite a drive.  Since I have been exploring and continuously searching for different playgrounds and parks to bring my boy, writing about those parks can help other people in our area be familiar with the different parks.

I love bringing my boy to Marijane Hamann Park in San Jose.  It is pocketed within a community making it feel more secured than those parks along the main roads.  It has 3 different playgrounds for kids of certain ages.  The toddler playground is gated which is ideal for parents with little cruisers.  This way the kids can't go anywhere outside the play area.  The split levels and sprawl of the toddler playground is very navigable for babies age 1-3.  There's a small tube where kids can pass going to the bigger slides which is definitely very interesting for little tots.

The bigger playground is for kids 4+, though it looks intimidating for little ones they can still navigate through it of course with adult supervision.  My 2yr old can actually go through the course to play on the bridge and slides.  The fun part is the separate spiral slide tower, kids certainly love going up and down that slide.

There's a more challenging structure for bigger kids.  That's the third playground in which has this spinner, a fun way to get dizzy I'd say.  Not to worry because the playground surfaces are very friendly.  There are softer mulch playground surfacing like of Rubberecycle's which is mild enough for kids to fall in.

The last feature is a set of swings but I didn't take much photos of it anymore.  It has the seat type where you can lounge and swing, a regular one for bigger kids and a basket type for babies.  There's also a big field with some picnic tables with griddles, tennis courts and baseball / softball area.  This is definitely a park for the entire family.

Old House or Newly Built House? This is something to consider when you are looking for a place to buy.   Housing will always cost a good amount of money but in the long run as compared to renting, you will end up saving more. Of course not everybody thinks the same way but for us, having our own house will further give us more benefits in the future.

Though old houses might cost much lower than new ones, there's so much to check and consider when you get an old house.  Depending on how old it is, the maintenance and certain retrofit will definitely play a bigger role in determining the real value of the house.  Will you really save in the end?  As we all know old houses mostly are outdated in which will require more attention than new houses.  Having a new house might be more costly but you'll definitely have at least 5 more years before any maintenance job has to be done.

Insulation is a big deal when it comes to houses. Old houses are mostly poorly insulated and having to re-do the whole insulation process will be a big headache.  New houses on the other hand are very updated, a new building material which is called ICF insulated concrete forms does a great job on this aspect.  Using this material, insulating basement walls and any other walls is no longer an issue.  It is made from cement bonded wood fiber making it more structurally sound than regular gypsum or hard wall system.

For us having a new home will be a more practical choice but if a newly remodeled old house comes to the picture then that's a thing to think about.  Price will still determine which one we can affordin the end.

Hello fellow bloggers and dear readers. It's been so long since I last wrote here. Just for quick update why I have been missing in action for the longest time, our little boy is already 28mos now. He's more active than ever, park days, playdates and other activities take practically all of my time. I am still managing our home office so my online activities were totally sacrificed.

I get to see your new posts and updates only through my saved blogs' previews. I miss the interaction and little chats with the fellow bloggers but I'll get back to it soon. I am assuming I will be having a little more time to do some online stuffs once I finish the launch of our online stores. It's just like raising a baby, so much work.
Every single day our mailbox and even the parcel box has to be emptied to give way to my next batch delivery of inventory. It's exciting but sometimes I wish for nice letters or mails from dear friends too. Anyway, I've got to cut this short and attend to my calling boy. Looks like he's about ready for his sleep, for me not just yet as I will have to do some extra works later on.

In any business big or small,a sale can be critical based on the handling and assistance needed.  Of course it is a lot simpler for small time businesses but bigger businesses can be notched up to the higher level with the help of a business broker.  A business broker aids to assist buyers and sellers with the buying and selling process.  All the necessary things that must be handled will be a business broker's duty, facilitating the progress of the business sale.

There are many kinds of brokerage practices and an example of it is the accountancy practice sales.  Accountancy is a very strong and well demanded industry.  Regardless how good or bad the economy turns out to be, accountants will always be in demand for businesses.  All financial aspects of the business fall under the jurisdiction of accountants therefore making accountancy practices for sale a good investment.  Accountancy practice valuation is very essential in sales, this determines the market value and the right selling price of anything with the help of a broker's expertise.

How do you make someone feel special?  There are many ways to make that person truly special but sometimes distance makes it harder to express and show how much you care.  What if your special someone lives hundred to thousand miles away and you want to do more than just a phone call.  Back in the old days this will be much of a problem, phone call alone would have been horribly expensive and transporting yourself wouldn't really be an option.

We're quite lucky that we can avail of online services nowadays to keep us from experiencing such dilemmas of the old days.  Now things are more accessible for everybody with the aid of the computer and internet.  You can easily send your warmest greetings even to the other side of the world instantly through emails, e-cards and gift service. Who says you can't give flowers to your dear friend or relative far away, such gifts can be given to them without you having to do it yourself.

There are many online gifting services all over the net and all you need to do is to choose the right one for your preferences.  Flowers can now be sent fresh and fast, Serenata delivers flowers to your door even on the same day.  Imagine what convenience the modern world has given us now.
